What we have seen so far is the handiwork of a solid career assistant coach, not a born leader.Disclaimer: I'm an idiot.

Re: Winning just enough not good enough
I would say that tonight for the Vikings a solid win is paramount for a solid season prediction.
The Vikings are a dangerous team and very capable of a 11-5 or 12-4 season if they can build upon a victorious nationally televised game.
Tonight is crucial for a reliable season.
I wish this team well.
Overall...the NFC North has been underestimated all season.

Re: Winning just enough not good enough
IMHO I don't think a winning season in itself is enough to save Childress. It would have to be a proper division winning season with a very good win v loss ratio.
Backing into the playoffs will see Chilly on his bike. I hope!

Zygi really likes Brad
So I think if we can get to 9-7 he will be around for atleast 1 more year
I wouldn't let him stay, but Zygi might

I read this article last night, and that's what really stood out for me too. Some guys just can't get to that point, as hard as they try. I'm thinking Childress might be a good OC, but not HC material. Key words in that quote..."inspiration", "charisma", "wins seemingly unwinnable games"...these apply to Parcells or Fisher, not Chilly.Any man who afflicts the human race with ideas must be prepared to see them misunderstood. - H.L. A winning Vikings team has a chance at getting a new stadium.
A losing team has much less of a chance.
Zygi will need to do something and getting rid of Brad will appease the mob for now.

Filled stadiums mean more money.
Ticket sales, concessions, APPAREL sales, etc...
The team needs a stadium and needs it soon; IMO, that trumps Zygi thinking that the Chiller is a "nice guy".

Re: Winning just enough not good enough
I want the team to win every game and I will never wish the team to lose just to have a coaching change.
I just hope and pray that the owner sees that this staff will never bring him the championship and gets one that can for next year.
