Winfield's Injury 2009

Encouraging news that Winfield tried to put himself back in the game, hopefully the MRI doesn't show any major damage tomorrow.


We were hurting when he left the game, in Pass D and Run D.
I'm not so sure we can win our next few games with Paymah lining up against Ward/Holmes or Jennings/Driver, should Winfield's injury be serious.
It is my unprofessional opnion that we try to swing a trade tomorrow if the doctors give an unfavorable diagnosis.
What are some good corners on bad teams? Who may be available?



While the Texans are by no means a bad team, I have to wonder if Dunta Robinson could be had.
He's unhappy with his contract (and his franchise tender) and the texans probably wont be able to resign him after this year anyway.
maybe for a 2nd they could be convinced to send him north.


Any other ideas?

Sign Chris McAlister.
I know he's old, but we'd only need him to play a couple games at most.
He's experienced enough, he should be able to catch on pretty quickly.

It appears it is not a problem ... so I doubt we go looking ... I would not be shocked to see us go looking for some safety help.

I would be thrilled.
Hell, sign McAlister and Stick Winfield at Safety for a few games.

The Raiders said that anyone was available with the exception of a couple players, which included Asomugha and Russell.
But how about trying to swing a deal for Asomugha.
That would be unreal haha.
Wishful thinking, but a little fun anyways...

Imagine what we'd have to give up for him, not worth it IMO.
That, and I don't know what our cap situation is

Asomugha is not attainable I am sure.
I would not hate to see us go after Huff though for safety help.
Other safeties that might be attainable: Jackson in Tampa Bay, Otogwe in St. Louis, and maybe Griffin in Tennessee.
I don't think there are any studs that will be made available but we just need some solid help.

how about we activate asher allen and see what he can do...

We can just hope that Winfield is ok., I really doubt us trading for anyone

id luv to get a trade for Huff, we can easily get him for a 5th rounder or atmost a 4th.. what about swinging a trade for deangelo hall?
