I just watched the Adam Schefter piece, and he said that he talked to Winfield's agent, and his agent assured him that Winfield would be in the mandatory minicamp.

He also said that the Vikings do not believe this to be a contract issue, and Coach Childress has been in communication with Winfield.

The next part is just speculation by Shefter.
He thinks that Winfield is generally frustrated with the Vikings because of last season, both on the field and off from the field.
This is his method of expressing his frustration.

Disneyland was just one example it makes no difference to me as long as he is there when he HAS to be thats all I care about. Besides he can be unhappy and still spend time with his family. So that prooves nothing.

You think he is unhappy sitting at home in a dark corner mulling...........

He probably said to himself you know they pissed me off last year team is horrible........I would rather spend this voluntary time with my family screw them I aint going till I have to go.

Same diff.
If you promise to be smarter, I will promise to be nicer.

Winfield sends cautionary signals to team

As explanations for Antoine Winfield's offseason absence from the Vikings grew Wednesday, his agent left open the possibility of a training camp holdout in a report posted on the NFL's website.

Re: Winfield to skip activities this week

Coaches and players seem convinced that Winfield will rejoin them next week for minicamp and appear unconcerned about a longer-term problem.
At this point I will take my cues from the team.
If they aren't worrying yet, then neither will I.

i am not worried about this. Winfield isn't the kind of guy to make bad waves in organization. if he had a problem with his contract or something esle involving the team i think he would talk about it behind closed doors.
