Re: Winfield Signs
sick shit
thats what I like to hear: ""It was important for me to finish my career here," Winfield said.
"Once I'm done playing for the Minnesota Vikings, I'm done with my career."
I guess that measn we wont have cap space to sign favre now.....

They also posted this in the New Deal for Winfleid Close thread.
Not sure who posted it first but thought it deserved a new thread.

Re: Winfield Signs
More good new for the upcoming season.
It's been an interesting offseason, I've actually had 3 Vikings related dreams in the last month or so.
The first one, I had slept through the Vikings opener (never happened, never will happen), but it was kind of a nightmare.
The most recent one, I was watching and it was our first offensive series and Harvin broke open over the middle down field, looked to have caught the pass for about a 30 yard gain, when it was ripped out of his hands and intercepted, but the play gave me more optimism than frustration (at least in my dream), as it was a receiver of ours getting open and the QB getting him the ball, just a great play made by the DB (in my dream).
There was another, but I can't seem to remember the details.
Anyway, I've got the fever.
Favre in purple, had mixed feelings about before, now I think it's a positive.
Winfield signing the extension.
Williams's suspensions blocked (for now at least).
The more I read about Harvin, the more excited I get about him.
The more I look at #'s of RB's in their careers w/ and w/o Favre (Edgar Bennett, Ryan Grant, Thomas Jones, Ahman Green), the more excited I get about Peterson and Taylor this year.
Even watching the replay of the Eagles game last year in the playoffs, realizing we didn't have Pat Williams or EJ Henderson for that game.
I can't wait for this season to get started.

Yeeeeee Haaaaaw!
Like =Z=, I'm a big Winfield fan.
He won one game for us almost singlehandedly last year.
Very reliable tackler who contributes greatly to our top run stopping team.
And has also been playing better coverage in our cover 2 scheme.
“What takes a quarterback to the next level is not arm strength or mobility or any of that stuff. It’s the ability to play on critical downs. Manage third downs, or red zones or four-minute or two-minute situations"
