Thread: Willie Offord torn ACL!

Tice announced in his press conference that Willy has a torn ACL. Tice did not elaborate further on it, but a torn ACL is usually surgery and done for the year. I hope this is not the case, but that is what usually happens.

This is a shame, Willie has been playing better than he ever has.

Son of a B*TCH! Willie is playing dang good football this year, far better than chavous. I was hoping to see Willie Offord and Sharper play together this year. When he hurt hiself they showed the replay and it was ugly, real ugly. Poor guy this sucks for him.

from what little I know ACLs, it's not a good idea to play a full contact sport without one. Without the ACL holding your bones in alignment, a lot of lateral movement can shred the cartlidge inside your knee. Plus, your ability to cut and change direction on the fly are pretty much nil. I think he most definitiely will need surgery and thus he's out for the season.

We are hurting in the secondary.

Sharper better heal up quickly and stay healthy. Offord was starting in place of him, and yes he was playing a great deal better this year.

I don't know what we have for the safety position on the depth chart. Might have to move one of the CB's to safety. But our favorite DB BWill got injured yesterday too. He actually looked kind of good on the blitz.

Yup it is not good news , My daughter tore heres playing olympic softball. she missed 10 months of ball after surgery. her minescuss was screwed up to thats the ligaments that cushion the 2 bones from rubbing together. it is going to be a long road for him , wouldnt want anyone to go through that. its almost a given that he screwed his minescuss up , modern technology he should be out 6-10 months. it sucks
