Yeah! It doesn't sound like he is doing that well. He did pretty good in camp last year. He started having problems in games. In reading the training camp article for today he is still dropping balls.
It's early so I think he has time to get it together yet. But I'm glad Rice is in camp now.
Troy has every ability to be an elite receiver in the NFL if he can find a way to catch the damn ball. If he starts catching the ball the Vikings could become a very good team!“What takes a quarterback to the next level is not arm strength or mobility or any of that stuff. And it wasn't just dropping balls. It was not going and getting them. Not making it happen.
Moss and Carter went and got the ball like they owned it.
Williamson needs to make bravado with his hands, not his mouth!“What takes a quarterback to the next level is not arm strength or mobility or any of that stuff. It’s the ability to play on critical downs. Manage third downs, or red zones or four-minute or two-minute situations"

Training camp will provide Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Troy Williamson, the No. 7 overall pick of the 2005 draft out of the University of South Carolina, with perhaps his final canvas for proving he can play consistently at an NFL level...

The first ball thrown to Troy Williamson on the first live drill of Minnesota’s training camp this week traveled right through his hands....

Re: Williamson won't let go of new bravado
I refuse to live in a dreamworld regarding Williamsons inability to simply catch a football. Williamson is what he is, a very very fast w/r that can not catch the ball!!!!! Does the name Willie Gault ring a bell with anyone. Chicago drafted him because he had world class speed and the entire NFL was concerned as to how they would be able to defend the guy. It turned out,
much like T. Williamson, that defences did not have to worry about Gault because even though he ran past defenders, he dropped anything that did not get stuck in his face mask. I am not being negative, I am simply not buying into all the excuses. I hope the two W/R's we drafted this year fly past Williamson on the depth chart and we can finally move on.
