Re: Williamson might take #1 receiver role

I hope Troy has a good year!!!!
    The odds are he won't.
I said last year he was a bust (I might have overreacted)
I just haven't heard much about him during camp.
The fumble on Monday night was also a downer.

I predict maybe 1 - 1000 yard reciever for the Vikes.
Still haven't descided who it will be.

If you pick anyone make it Troy Williamson. He's our number 1 WR and we need to show ppl why we took him ahead of fat ass Mike Williams.

idk man, he was playing really well in training camp, the fumble on monday night could be called either way, he's not used to the kickoff return position, only saw limited time at this role while practicing, he wasnt used to it - even if it was simple ball protection

i like what i've seen frmo this kid, and i think if he does step it up, he really could be our #1, we have 3 more games to judge that =)

If Troy Williamson can get off the jam, see Snakes on a Plane, run crisp routes and CATCH THE BALL WITH HIS FINGERTIPS (which he could learn better by watching Samuel L Jackson snatch snakes with his fingertips) he'll do just fine at #1, he can fly. Kind of like a plane. With snakes on it.

I dont think there will be one this year.
Unless the team is sucsessful going vertical from time to time to keep the defence honest.
If not there will be a lot of int's from DB's jumping the routes
    You republican whore!

Travis Taylor is leaps and bounds ahead of Troy right now. Troy has speed, but hasnt shown he has good hands, and Troy is afraid of slants across the middle. Hopefully Childress will move heaven and earth and get Branch here in time for the opener.
Clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right, here I am stuck in the middle with you

I know they want us to attack the post and not the poster, so I'll try my best.
Hasn't shown good hands and is afraid of slants.....WTF..............TW catches everything thrown at him and this "lack of good hands" thing is like an urban legend that you guys keep growing and growing.
TW stepped into the starting lineup after one year for a reason...........b/c of what he's showing in practice.
What do you people want from a player who played 11 total plays in the first preseason game.
He made two positive plays on offense and his number was called twice.
If you saw how far the D backs laid off TW the other night, you'd know in a real game the Vikes would throw that slant all day long.
B/c it's preseason, they tried to work on many other things (like the run game).

Quit all this crap about any perceived deficiencies in TW's game b/c he has very few I can assure you.
Take this from someone WHO KNOWS....TW has speed, a vertical leap second to none, GREAT HANDS, a work ethic, will block downfield, and will not embarrass the Vikings.
He is the real deal but when some people on this site keep just making up bullsh!t like you posted, then I guess he needs to find a new home.
If TW ever leaves MN, he'll haunt you on another team I can assure you.

I think the kid has more going for him this year in BJ and West Coast offense.
Nice easy passes, timing routes, short stuff.
We are all looking for heroes.
    Williamson is fast.
Maybe he's learned as much as the article says.

    Just imagine - 2008 - Jackson to Williamson....Yes!
    Over and over again.
