    Williamson Leaving Minnesota?

I'm not one for rumors, but this one I could not ignore. ESPN rumor mill says that Williamson might be leaving Minnesota:

    http://insider.espn.go.com/nfl/features/rumors?&action=login&appRedirect=http%3a%2f%2finsi der.espn.go.com%2fnfl%2ffeatures%2frumors

I'm not an Insider subscriber, so I couldn't tell you what they say, but has anyone heard anything like this?

Whatever it is, they would be speculating for something during the offseason.
The two possibilities are obviously a cut or a trade.

To be honest, they probably don't know anything more than you or I.
They are just looking at the fact that we have two very, very good rookies in Rice and Allison, and a good slot/possession receiver in Wade.
Williamson simply isn't high enough on the depth chart.
I would prefer that they trade him over cutting him though.

I will start the bidding for the Packers... a bag of Cheese Puffs and a six pack of Old Mil. That should get us pretty close.

    Re: Williamson Leaving Minnesota?

The already strained relationship between the Vikings and Williamson took another hit when it was revealed that the team is docking the third-year wideout one game check for missing the Week 9 contest against San Diego to attend the funeral of his maternal grandmother, which was held the following day.
The action by Vikings officials almost certainly represents another bump in an already pretty rocky relationship, and it's hard to imagine that Williamson will be back with the franchise in 2008, writes Len Pasquarelli.

In 34 games, Williamson has just 70 catches for 986 yards. Despite being a starter this year, Williamson has only nine catches. The Minnesota offense isn't a good fit for him and, at just 24 years of age and still blessed with great speed, he might benefit from a change of scenery.
It's dated Nov 11th and seems to be all speculation based on the paycheck fiasco.

We don't want any of your Cheese Puffs, and we're going to need at least a 30 pack.
Remember, this guy was the number 7 pick in the draft.
He has the potential to be one of the top receivers in the league if he learns how to catch.
When the age of the Vikings came to a close, they must have sensed it. Probably, they gathered together one evening, slapped each other on the back and said, "Hey, good job." - Jack Handey [Deep Thoughts]

Lets see we have given you Longwell, Sharper, Bevell, Fergie and you made a strong run at Kampman the last go round... I think the 30 pack option is more than enough.

Hell, I'd take one pint of Guinness for him.

But you got the alcoholic the other way

To tell you the truth, I'm not sure if the street value of TWill at the moment is much higher than what you're offering. We might have to consider it.
