Williamson hopes new eye tests will stop his drops.

Good read, I still am very sickened by some of his drops, some of them could have won us a couple more games but, I hope he corrects his problems and turns out to be what we all hoped he would be.

After undergoing a battery of vision testing at Nike headquarters last week, Vikings receiver Troy Williamson learned about some non-surgical procedures that could improve his ability to see and catch the ball.

Williamson, coach Brad Childress, Vikings trainers and an eye specialist at the Nike world headquarters developed a program, and the receiver headed to Beaverton, Ore., to take the tests over several days last week, agent David Canter said.

What they found was, well, eye-opening.

This line in the story indicates something is wrong with his eyes that can be corrected by a non-surgical procedure
"Now that we know there was something from a visual standpoint, this is like a light bulb coming on for all of us concerned about why he was having difficulty making some catches."
But they never mention what it is that is wrong. That's strange.

Wait so what did I just read? I didn't see that they found anything?

"Among the things Nike tested: Williamson's hand-eye coordination, whether one eye was stronger than the other, how well he saw things in different lighting, and how he tracked balls coming at him from a variety of angles.

"Troy said it was very helpful, and he was really excited," Canter said. "But he was surprised, at the same time."

That's the only thing that mentions what they did and it doesn't even say they found anything. Maybe Childress knows it is in his head and is trying to give him an excuse?

Doctor: Yes Mr. Williamson I know 10 other eye doctors said you were fine, but our super special NIKE doctor has found something......drink 8 glasses of water a day and you will be fine.

I agree, I had to read it twice cause I thought I didn't see what was wrong with him.

Maybe they finally found out that there actually are no eyes in the back of his head so when he turns his head to run before he has caught the ball he can't see it!

    Or

Maybe they found there are no eyes on his chest so when he decides to not use his hands he can't see the ball when he catches it with his body.

NIKE eye doctor.......lol, for some reason I keep getting the image of some guy just shining a maglight in his eyes.

Don't really know...he better do something but, to me it looked like they were implicating his trouble was with different sets of lighting variations.

Now I have the mental picture of the NIKE DOC shining 100's of lights in his eyes and hitting him in the head with footballs.

    Can you see the ball.............WHAP.........

lets try with 99 lights in your eyes..........

    Can you see the ball...........WHAP.......

Who cares what they "found" as long as it helps!
;D Good god, can you imagine what that kid could do if he could just catch?
