I hope Troy comes up big for us early this season. With teams stacking the box to take our running game from us it's vital that he gets open, and Catches the football. Shoot, if he would have grabbed 4 of those dropped balls from last year we wouldn't even be talking about it. It's Troy's third year and it's time for him to become the reciever the Vikes thought he'd be when we took him with the number 7 draft pick.

I disagree, sometimes his drops were in front of him too.

I have a lot of hope for Troy.Going back and watchin some game film on him, has given me reason for hope.He has elite speed, i'm talking Hester speed. After the catch he is a force to be reckoned with.I honestly believe he can easily be a productive quality receiver for us this year.

I hope they stop asking him to be Moss going deep and just give him the quick hitting slants and crossing patterns that he has shown he can catch and take to the endzone. He doesn't seem to have the ability to run, look behind him and catch the ball at the same time yet.

    Stick to the basics

He needs the confidence of catching a few balls in game conditions and he will be much better. If he drops the first couple of balls thrown to him he's done.

    I totally agree.
He is just not a Moss type of receiver.
I think he can be most successful as you depict.
In fact, he is probably much more suited to be successful in Childress' offense than he was for the supposed role Tice (et al) drafted him to fill.
