Williamson article
just came across it...could be old
http://profootballcentral.com/interviews/troy_williamson.htm
How surprised were you when Minnesota drafted you with the number 7th overall pick?
Troy Williamson- I wasn't surprised at all, just blessed, I knew they wanted speed and my agent, David, had talked to them at the combine and he told me that they were trying to lay low and might select me.
PFC- Did Minnesota show a strong interest in you before the draft?
Troy Williamson- Not really except at the combine.
PFC- What do you have to say to those so called "draft gurus" who projected you in the second round only to be taken number 7 overall?
Troy Williamson- Everyone has their favorite player or type of player, I wish them all the best and hope to prove any doubters wrong.
PFC- How much pressure is on you heading into this season knowing that many look to you to replace Randy Moss?
Troy Williamson- None- I am my own man. I am not there to replace anyone just be the best player and most complete player I can be.
PFC- What are your first impressions of Daunte Culpepper?
Troy Williamson- He is great, a real leader, and a person I look forward to playing with for a long time.
PFC- What role do you expect to have this year in this offense??
Troy Williamson- That's going to be for the coaches to decide, I just need to get in my playbook and everything else will take care of itself.
PFC- Looking at your game. what is the 1 thing you need to work on for the Pro level?
Troy Williamson- I have to make the college to NFL adjustment, once I do that everything will fall into place.
PFC- Many people such as Mel Kiper thought Mike Williams was going to be drafted ahead of you, do you see anything competitive now this season knowing that Mike is in the same division as you??
Troy Williamson- No, not at all, I wish Mike the best of luck, just not when they play the Vikings.
PFC- What are your goals for this season?
Troy Williamson- To develop my game and do whatever it takes to help the Minnesota Vikings win multiple superbowls.

Re: Williamson article
The thing is, even if he's being coached as to what to say, it seems like he has had the type of attitude he portrays as far back as anybody can think...
PLEASE let him be who he appears to be - and pan out!

Re: Williamson article
I wanna c this kid prove his words!!!
it'll be glorious to watch him streak past the pack's backs and just long stride into the endzone time and time again!!!! i'm betting he's gonna become another of the long list of great WR's that have made their names here in MN!!!!
Daunte's strong arm + Troy's speed = road runner show in the NFL!!!

Re: Williamson article
Let's just remember that the kid's a raw rookie. He's got a world of talent and by all accounts could be a great player someday...but give him a couple of years before the big expectations!
