Under the Pioneer Press' "Who's Hot" list:

-- No. 1 draft choice Troy Williamson, coming off a strong NFL debut Friday night in the team's 28-21 loss to the New York Jets, got some work with the first unit and beat starting cornerback Antoine Winfield to catch a 40-yard pass from Culpepper.

Oh yeah!!!! Just as long as no opposing receivers beat AW this year, then it's ALL good!!!

No kidding. I was kind of worried when Justin McCarreins almost took Winfield to the house. The pass was overthrown by Pennington but that seemed like lack luster coverage. Hopefully everything is good with AW. But nonetheless, he is one of the best corners in the league and Troy made a play on him. Just more of a confidence booster.

Even the best CB's get burnt now and then! Having Smoot playing the opposite side of the field can only help as well! I'm not worried.

I haven't been impressed with Winfield so far in pre-season, then again he never has been a shut down pass defender. More of a physical presence then anything.

Sounds good to me. Lets hope he can do that against the opposing team. Hopefully Antoine won't be getting beat like that though.

I hate the fact that we compare Troy to Randy but your comment couldn't help but remind me of a comparison.

You know who had 2 td in their first ever NFL game? Randy!
You know who Randy played against in the first game? TB

Maybe Troy can have a break out game against the Be-yucks.

That is probably a far cry from being a reality since Troy is still pretty far back on the depth chart. I remember that Randy started that game as the number 3 WR. They gave him some plays to show what he could do though.

I was at that game and it was awesome. I game my left testicle up to go to that game and it was worth it. Alright I didn't give it up but I would have.

He only needs 2 long receptions. It could happen.

On AW, I don't think he's going 100% during the preseason. I think he doesn't mind getting burnt now as long as he doesn't get hurt. He'll be alright once the season starts.
