Thread: Will Vikes Use Tight End As An H Back?

I didn't want to start another thread, but couldn't find where else to fit this in. During the Seattle game "we" were trying a lot of the young Tight Ends as H Backs (Kleinsasser didn't even suit up). Now that we have no Full Backs I'm wondering if the H Back, using the Tight Ends will be a big part of the offense. We already know Sasser can play that role. Maybe the coaches were trying to see who else could play the part before final cuts. Thoughts? Did I read too much into the Seattle game? :silent:

i think you are thinking that H back is the same as a half back skol... H-back is a tight end that lines up in the back field and motions a lot. Kind of like a cross between tight end and full back

My bad, I was confused. We used to use it alot when Sasser was a full back, then we seemed to get away from it. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't remember seeing it for a year or two under Linehan. Maybe because we had a fullback in the past and didn't run that formation.
