Thread: Will Our Linebackers be good enough?

I see EJ henderson having a breakout year, I hope Chris Claiborne can stay healthy, Micke Nattiel, Nick Rodgers, Raonall Smith all Questionalble.

We need to be able to stop the run this year

I would feel better with more help at this posistion.

Antonio Pierce, a linebacker for the Skins, is supposed to sign today(friday). He's an RFA but he was undrafted so the Vikes wouldn't lose any picks. I don't know much about him though, I don't know if he would be a starter.

Henderson and Claiborne are going to be very good next to each other and make a lot of plays. Rogers has shown flashes but is inconsistant.
Raonall Smith was a stud in collage but can't stay healthy. If he could manage to keep himself on the field I think we would be just fine, but I just don't see that happening. I hope we get some depth in the draft.

I wouldnt say Henderson is going to be very good. he hasnt even done anything to warrant that talk. I think he may make a good player, but untill he goes out and makes plays..ill keep my opionions about our LB corp reserved.

I hope they end up good enough..........

It would be best to keep your opinions if you aren't sure about EJ.

No, we need help at the WILL position. Ian Gold or draft Williams or Dansby in the 1st round.

I'm kinda big on Boulware. I say trade back, pick up an extra second rounder, get Jason Babin at DE in the First, and get Boulware in the second.

I really want to wait until after the draft to fully answer this question. I think if we don't land Will Smith, we will get OLB D.J. Williams which will help our linebackers out a lot. Either way, I think Cotrell will make our D better no matter what. Vikes 2005!
