Re: Will Jon Gruden be our next head coach?
This is the year Chilly has to be a contender.
He has everything he has asked for.
If we fail it will fall directly on coaching and he will be gone.
There is no reason we should not win the our division and go deep into the playoffs.
In short the KAO better kick some ass this year.

Teams taht back into the playoffs knowing they're one and done aren't contenders.
We were close, i wouldn't say we were contending though.

Re: Will Jon Gruden be our next head coach?
A couple of thoughts here........
Gruden would be a great fit in terms of the offensive, defensive schemes and coaching up our nastiness a bit.
However I dont see this happening for a few reasons.
Chilli, unless this thing backfires this year on him, is fairly secure in his job.
The Wilf's are not going to go into an uncapped year without a stadium deal and pay a ton of money for a new coach not to mention the increased cost of getting players next year, it just doesn't make sense.
I have a great deal of respect for what Chilli has done in terms of changing over our roster, putting his imprint on the team, and with Favre the other night it was the first time I really saw the offense open up.
What I mean by that is there were playcalls in there that we had not run before whether that was due to the QB or the options we now have amassed I dont know, but I like where we are headed.
SKOL!

That swing killed them.
That is the crazy part of the NFL.
Momentum over the playoff games to get to the superbowl and then on one play during the Bowl that momentum swung the other way.

I like Chilly too.
I love hearing about his speeches and analogies.
Plus, the unshaven "rough" look with the boonie cap is slick as hell. (Maybe I have a man-crush on him???)
The season has not even started and some are thinking about our next head coach?
Especially one that inherited a Super Bowl team?
Wow.

This team has great talent.
I will agree that Childress should be on the hot seat though.
This team needs to be successful.
By successful I don't mean they must absolutely win a superbowl.
I mean they must contend.
There are things that happen throughout the course of the year that can change the outcome of the team such as injuries and whatnot.
The fact is the team has improved and continues to improve.
If Childress makes stupid decisions that cost them games that's one thing.
But if it is things that are out of his control that's another.
