The Vikings traded up in the second round during the 2006 draft to nab Jackson, and there's no doubt the idea was that he would eventually be the franchise quarterback in Minnesota. But as any coach who truly evaluates his roster with an objective eye, Childress holds no pre-determined conclusions about who his starting quarterback will be in 2007.

Man I hope Tjack starts, ill be fustrated if he dont.

Seems like Rice likes Tjack

"On the last play today he threw a ball to me from the pocket and it hit my hands and went right through them to my chest and I had to trap it there. It was on me fast. He has what it takes to get the job done this year."

Lets hope he do have what it takes to led this team

Kinda sorta I think mixed into to other posts. But honestly there is no for sure thing. For all we know Yancy Thigpen is the second coming of Peyton Manning, ok not realistic, but you get my point. I think he will be given every opportunity to start, but the decision for him to start is strictly on him. He has to show that he can do what it takes to lead this team. If not then we will look elsewhere.
