I think you're right. He was traded to the Raiders, which is an AFC team that we rarely see during the season. If he would have been traded to the Lions, Bears, or Peckers, that would be a different story; then I expect he'd be booed soundly every time he touched the ball. As it is, I think people will cheer for him when he arrives on the field.I would be shocked if he wasn't given a very warm greeting, along with a smattering of boos from a few fans of course. The guy in no way deserves to be booed, except for the fact that he plays for the opposing team that is. He gave us some great years and never pulled the crap that daunte did, when the trade winds started swirling.
I bet he gets a lot more cheers then boos, at least I hope he does.
Think of Johnny Damon in a Yankees uniform. Red Sox fans boo him every chance they get; do you think they would have the same reaction if the Oakland A's had signed him?I am a dipshit!!!

Re: Will the Boo-Birds be out August 14th?
There is a difference between someone who is kicked out and someone who wants out. So I would cheer Moss onto the field in thanks for what he has done for the team in the past, but once the game is underway he is still the opposition.

but you can be sure the vikings front office was never not going to let a division rival pick him up. no way no how.
Moss was the greatest WR the vikings EVER had.

Re: Will the Boo-Birds be out August 14th?
If it was Cullpepper I'd boo, but not Moss. I don't hold Moss at fault for leaving. I wouldn't be surpised if he was mostly cheers for him, but of course there will be a lot of boos.

Re: Will the Boo-Birds be out August 14th?
Why boo someone who was TRADED ....
It's not like he left via free agency...
And for the record, in his press conf. in Oakland, he DIDN'T say a negative word about Minnesota. Moss said he had MUCH LOVE for Minnesota and had expected to be in Vikings purple his whole career and you boo bird idiots need to remember that...I ll be dead and cold before I m green and gold

Thanks to PPE for sig

Re: Will the Boo-Birds be out August 14th?
I'm sure there will be a few jack asses that will boo, but for the most part I'm sure he'll receive lots of cheers. Moss didn't want to leave, and most were sad to see him go. He gave us tons of great memories and I hope that the fans remember that when he steps on the field.
