Trouble is, AP will never retract their story and that goes out to every major newspaper and magazine in the world.

But more importantly, the Star Trib story, which is syndicated among almost all of the regional newspapers, printed the correct version of events.
I don't care what joe shmoe in South Carolina thinks when it comes down to our stadium issue.
I do care what the population of Minnesota, and their respective legislatures, thinks.

The AP story is posted on the ESPN site under News and you can leave a comment there regarding the missing portion of the quote and the question that was asked to Wilf.

But it was printed in PFT!

We have members here who live & breathe by what is printed there. It's damn near gospel truth.

There has been some discussion about the potential impact of the 35W bridge tragedy on the Vikings’ Downtown East stadium proposal.....

You want to make a real political statement about the priorities of government? Then divert the 0.15 percent Hennepin County sales tax, approved to fund the public’s share of the new Twins stadium, for bridge relief and repair. While you’re at it, go ahead and eliminate the state’s 55 percent commitment to the new Gophers football stadium as well.
I like the mans way of thinking.

If sports aren’t important, they’re not important. Let’s at least be consistent.

The wake of the I-35W bridge disaster is no time to campaign for a new NFL stadium.

Another successful Minnesota Vikings training camp at the campus of Minnesota State University will wind toward a conclusion later this month. And before the next preseason drills begin here, fans will once again wonder if someday the team might throw tradition aside and opt for some other location....
