We have a bit of a Mexican standoff here...The NFL does not have near the leverage that they are fronting IMO.
LA is the biggest leverage the NFL has in extorting bigger than necessary stadiums from host communities that know these stadiums are not viable. If they do move a team like the Vikings, Jags etc to LA then they lose their leverage with the future teams they will target for new stadiums. What will they use for leverage if that happens, that the team may relocate to Minnesota?

The way Goodell's pushing things I wouldn't be surprised if London is a contender, although not in the near future.

Good luck with that one. Think of the logistics, time zone issues etc. No way that ever becomes more than a novelty.

No, shame on the state of Minnesota for bringing us to this point.

San Antonio TX will probably make an offer for the Vikes as well if it comes to that.
    +1
There are currently two stadium and ownership options in Los Angeles and both groups have already reached out to the Vikings. Real estate magnate Ed Roski, 74, wants to buy a team and build a 75,000-seat stadium to be the centerpiece of a 600-acre site on the northern side of the 57 and 60 freeway interchange in Industry, Calif. The site is currently vacant but following the construction of the stadium would be revamped into an entertainment and retail complex. His old friend and billionaire, Philip Anschutz, 72, is the principal financial backer of the other proposal. Anschutz wants to buy a team and build a 75,000-seat stadium in downtown Los Angeles that would be connected and serve as an extension to a remodeled Los Angeles Convention Center next to Staples Center. Roski’s project is currently “shovel ready” while Anschutz’s project will likely be in position to push dirt in March 2013 once it has an approved environmental impact report, which is expected early next year.

And under the Roski plan, guess which real estate developer from New York, who currently owns a NFL team, gets to be a partner in developing that 600 acres?

whilst the time zone etc is a big issue don't ever discount it. Goodell and co. have their eyes set on the overseas market and it will happen one day.

Why shame on us!?!?! This city, state and legislature has been playing silly games with this franchise for ten years. When can we get frustrated and say to those people go screw yourself and hope tht this great franchise goes somewhere where they are appreciated? I am not disrepsecting the franchise, I am actually saying I am tired of the people of Minnesota pissing on this team and nothing is done about it. If you don't love something let it go, let this franchise go where it will be loved and supported, if you don't like that idea, maybe shame on you!!!

There s only two things stopping you - fear and common sense!! The Truth you CAN"T HANDLE THE TRUTH!!!!!!!!
