    I wish they'd let us throw in our own cash....

    Viking fans hunger a Championship more than anyone in sports.

    Bring it home boyz.
    Bring it home.

    If you send your cash to me, I'll make sure they get it.

    OK Vikes fans, this would be our ultimate dream... We get our new stadium, and the year we host a SB, we are in it, and win it.

    Now what would be better then hosting a superbowl, and winning the thing in front of all the purple priders? Man just thinking about that sends shivers down my spine..

    Just think of how great it would be to have everyone park in the same place, for free.

    This isn't high school football. No matter where the Vikings go you still will pay for parking. I bet a new stadium will still charge around 30 atleast for parking.

    The way that article reads the state is not investing a dime. They are going to sell construction bonds. Only the Anoka County residents would have to ante up some money in a .075% sales tax. I always thought the state was being ased for some money as well as paying for the road construction in and around the stadium.[/quote

    exactly cojomay I live in anoka cty just 2-3 miles from the site they are still "battling" with the little town of Centerville population 1500 or so the mayor is a whench sp? i hate her Mary Capra she wants to bring this to a vote and it is slowing everyting down I mean .075% oh my i will be broke they said it will take about 1 year so avg family of 4 in anoka cty makes aprox 62k so after avg mtg and car pymnt they will spend on taxable items 12k for the year x .075 = 900 a year which would create a ton of jobs in the county and make property go up and.......DUH

    Your math is a little off. It would be 12,000 x 0.0075 = $90.00 per year!

    The state is doing $115 million on road improvement but that is already scheduled anyway, they would just move the timetable up by a few years.
    (media usually does not mention that the money is going to be spent either way}
    What we've got here is failure to communicate.

    He also changed the 12K to 6K after I pointed out that food & clothing are not taxed in MN, thereby decreasing the cost to a family to $45 anually.

    I pay more than that on cigarette tax alone.
