Re: Wide receiver Williamson is on own vision quest

Seems like horsesh*t to me, but if he believes, I guess that's all that really matters.
A little confidence can go a long way.......I hope

I'm not sure I understand how better vision is going to make this guy catch more footballs.
Williamson's problems are not his eyes, they're his hands.
If you can't get open and you can't catch footballs ... that makes you a pretty usless receiver whether or not your eyesight is poor.

I wonder if his severe burn experience messed with his sense of touch and spatial awareness?
But you would think the problem would have shown up sooner like in college.
Have I ever told you what an outstanding humanitarian I am?

Well you see, in order to catch the football you need to be able to see it, difficult concept, I know.
There is nothing physically wrong with his hands, he's not missing a finger or anything.
The problem is not with his hands, but rather his hand-eye coordination.
Fortunately he can get open, he's just struggling to catch footballs

Re: Wide receiver Williamson is on own vision quest

hand eye coordination is a very key aspect to athletics.

my question is more on the topic that i think it's a mental problem.

    confidence,
fear of being hit, fear of failure..

these last second adjustments should be coming natural.. but if u have a phobia blocking it..
    nike can't fix that..

I have a friend at Drake uni on the team that could skate like the wind, had a shot that was booming.. but if he had make a decision (even in his normal life) it phreaked him out.

so he'd be flying down the ice.. and at the point of choosing
shoot or pass.. he'd kinda lock up for .5 of a second.. in hockey..that was the time needed for a defender to take the puck or man..

maybe we have a phobic WR in twill..
i hope not i want the kid to come out big this year and prove we made the right choice over M.w

I half to believe part of the problem is mental also. I've said this before, when T-will has the time to think about the catch as in waiting for a bomb to come down he seems to drop more of them than he catches.

When the ball is rifled at him like over the middle, he doesn't have that same amount of time to think about it & catches more of them than he drops.

He was open plenty of times when he dropped the ball.
I don't buy into the eye excuse.
    The eye-hand coordination, yes.
    The head problems, yes.
