Why Are You A Vikes Fan?

Ok...we are obviously all vikings fan, but the bigger question may be, what drove us to be fans of the might purple and gold.

My dad and his best friend (a man I call my second dad) were both huge fans, and therefor I was brought up watching them and following them.
I remember my dad telling me I was born to be a Vikes fan.I

I miss those 2 men, but they are the reason I am a vikes fan today.
They have both since passed away, but they both raised their sons right.

I was born in 1966, and have followed the Vikes forever.
I remember during deer hunting season, we would stop at noon on Sunday, so we could be back in time to watch our team.

So, why are the rest of you fans?

My mommy.

She's was a vikings NUT when i was younger.
We only had 1 TV in the house with cable when i was a youngin so i'd watch the games with her.
If i wasn't in the room i knew exactly when something good happened because i'd hear, "GO BABY GO BABY GOGOGOGOGO YESSS!!!" lol

My family moved to a new neighborhood and I was introduced to the Vikings through a new friend (a girl who was a year older than me).
My dad was never a big sports fan so he wasn't an influence on my favorite team choices.
Growing up in south Louisiana, I was one of a select few who were Viking fans...but I have stuck with them through thin and thin...and I am still here!
Besides, purple and gold are the two greatest colors to ever be used on a football jersey (my HS colors are also purple and gold)!!!

Louisiana....my did also made me read about Pistol Pete.
That man was amazing.
His dad used to make him dribble a ball to and from school, from a moving car.

I remember watching him thinking....damn.....

Randy Moss, plain and simple. He is the reason why i am a Viking fan today. 1998 the year i believe they were 15-1 is when i first started to watch football when i was about 9yrs old. My dad has been a life long Bear fan and most of my friends and relatives are also Bear fans so they just make fun of me. ::)...I am also saying this is the yr we win the division

iono why... i ask myself that everyday... it happen in 2004.. i played with them in madden.. i liked the way they play with daunte Moss an Bennett. an i liked that very much.. so i watched them on TV. that season of the Greenbay Playoff.. thats when i fell in love.. b4 that i was a Rams Fan.. an b4 that i was a Skins fan.

not me, i don't want to risk someone calling me or seeing the news of the score and having it ruined for me.
i can get it when ever i want from my girlfriend :)
