Why Purple, Gold, and White?
I saw this question posed on another Vikings chat and no one seemed to know the answer. "Why did the Vikings choose purple and gold as their team colors?
Anyone here have a clue as to the reason. I did a "Google" search but couldn't come up with anything much.Kentucky Vikes Fan

Best explanation I've heard is this:
I never heard anyone actually say this, but for some reason I always just assumed that they were trying to stay consistent with the color the Minneapolis Lakers (before they moved to L.A.) were using.Kentucky Vikes Fan
