I look back to the 2003 draft- K Will, EJ, Ontarrio, Nate, Mike Nattiel, and Keenan Howry. Aside from the fumbling punter, I think we recieved great value from all of these people considering where they were picked. I can't question any picks that the Vikings make.
I don't see a smiley face, but you've got to be joking!! EJ lost his starting job at MLB, Ontario is suspended for the remainder of his contract, Mike Nattiel got into a bar brawl and was later cut, and Howry....well Howry just flat out stinks.

Over the last 10 years, I don't think that the front office has done that well at drafting other than the 1st round, but that's the easy round.
EJ lost his job to a very good and experienced line-backer that he will learn from and improve behind. Nobody can really anticipate that a player will carry around a whizzinator. Nattiel was a good player that made a mistake. Howry is a really good special team player for us.
The best part of my day is when I get down on my knees, with my head in my hands, and thank GOD for everything he has given me.

Andre Johnson is a complete monster. I wondered how Detroit could take Rogers over him too.

I'm just speaking from a talent stand point. EJ was the best linebacker in college football before injuries, so who is to say he won't improve from where he is. They all received roster spots and contributed. Williams is a beast, Nate is our #1 receiver, Smith was supposed to start, EJ will start sometime, and Nattiel and Howry were sixth and seventh rounders who managed to stay with the team for a while and play. That is a good draft in my opinion.
I guess we'll have to agree to disagree.

Onterio Smith's problems were well known, that's why he was on the draft boards in the FOURTH round.

Our special teams weren't even that good last year.

That is exactly why he was a good pick. A talent of his kind in the fourth round is worth taking a chance and hoping his problems were behind him.

It's too bad that an NFL career and all of the available money couldn't change him. It just amazes me how far he went just to get high.

Sorry to say it, but Howry blows. I would rather have any of: Moore, Burleson, Campbell, Hoag etc. return kicks.

Onterrio had his problems in college, but I believe he was worth the risk of a 4th rounder.

E.J. should have been better than he was last year given he had a year as backup to learn the game. Still I think he will eventually take over from Cowart as MLB.
