Why I think we win 11 games this year?
1.
There is not a great team in the NFC.
2.
Our Defense will be better than last and keep us in games.
3.
We are going to wear out the oposition with a bruising running and short passing game.
4.
We will sweep the Pack and the Lions, and split with the Bears.
5.
Longwell will have win three games on last second kick
6.
It happens every year, I start to believe again.
7.
Chili is going to prove me wrong.
He is going to do an exceptional job.

Re: Why I think we win 11 games this year?
I am one of the more optimistic fans out there that thinks every year is going to be great.
I get excited at the beginning of the year, I watch every signing/draft and look at all the possibilties, etc. .
However.
I don't think we win 11 games this year.
I think we start a little rough and end the year strong.
I am VERY VERY excited about 2008.
TJack will be coming into his second full year, AP & SRice & Allison will be "up to speed", we have a ton of cap space and some real good talent coming up as free agents.
I hope for the best every year, but am almost expecting GREAT things out of our 2008 team.
Skol!

The optimism is great. I still feel however that we in the process of rebuilding and 11 wins might be a stretch.

I hope your right, but that is awfully optimistic.
We have a pretty young team, with a fair amount of raw talent.
I guess anything is possible.

I love the optimism!
The offseason should be filled with optimism and excitement!
As of right now, we are tied for first.
The Bears aren't nearly as good as their record last year indicated, nor are we as bad as ours did.
If we end up going 11-5 or better this year, I will buy vikingivan a new jersey of his choice, just for not being scared to be a homer in the offseason! ;DZeus wrote:
When are you going to realize that picking out the 20 bad throws this year and ignoring the 300 good ones does not make your point?

I finally got my blind homerism goggles out of the closet yesterday.
Mine just aren't as thick as some others.
I am very pleased with the draft this year and it really turned the tide for me on my outlook for 2007.
Even though most rookies don't step up and help out all that much, I still have my hopes up.

2) We have a new defensive coaching staff no sure thing.
3) If we can move the chains sure, if we go for 3 yard gains on 3rd and 7's then no.
4) I doubt it
5) ok what about the other 8 games
6) That is a good thing.
7) LMAOIf you promise to be smarter, I will promise to be nicer.

Re: Why I think we win 11 games this year?
I think that we will be 9 - 7 or 10 - 6 I think last year that things started to spiral and they couldn't stop it I am hopeful that more players buy into the offensive system this year and that the defense can improve getting pressure on the QB and taking away the passing game.
Then again I picked the Vikes to be 11 - 5 last year and that didn't work out. What we've got here is failure to communicate.

Re: Why I think we win 11 games this year?
I think we are just too young at key spots and a little thin at some others this year. I see us winning 6-9 games. We are probably not a playoff team but no one in the NFC is a "playoff" team IMO, so why not us I guess.
2009 is when I think the Vikings will really emerge as the power they once were again."Lurker" turned Poster

Re: Why I think we win 11 games this year?
First of all, love the optimistic outlook.
I think that you can never be for sure about football. I think we have the talent to win 11 games and even make a run for the big one. The big question is: can we put it all together?
I think we have what it takes to win 11+ games, and I am an optimistic person who always fights for the optimistic side of things, but there quite a few things which COULD keep us from winning games. But you just never know...we could have a ton of injuries, we could still have our penalty problem, there are sooo many variables, we can't really see what any team is going to do until September. If we put it all together, our FA and rookies turn out and play mistake free football, we will win.

Thanks Josdin00 for the sig!
