Why don't we sign a vet qb??
Here we go.
Look what the vets do in the league.
They put up big numbers and win games.
Look at Farve, he is 38 years old, has less talent at wr than we do, all he does is win.
Brett is 12-1 the last 13 games.
So this tells me we need to sign a vet that understands the game and can get the ball to the wr.
If we had any type of passing game our wr would be something.
Without a doubt we could be 6-3 or 7-2.
When you lose alot of close games due to how bad are qb play is, we will continue to lose.
Kurt Warner would be a good fit for us.
What is the plan for us? Winke was in town this week any update on him?

Re: Why don't we sign a vet qb??
They just aren't out there to be had. I mean honestly, look at the rest of the league. The quarterback play is awful. Do you really think Joey Harrington, Kyle Boller (or McNair for that matter), Quinn Gray or Cleo Lemon would be starting if there were legitimate veterans out there?
Plus, any team with a decent backup (AKA the Cardinals with Warner) aren't going to let their guy go, because they know the starter can't make it through an entire season un-injured.
Let's face it. The only way we will get a decent quarterback is a) an act of God that turns Tarvaris into Joe Montana overnight, b) a major falling out (like what might happen in Philly, although Donovan is once again a great qb after throwing 4 TDs today) or c) the draft.
This season is a wash, IMO. There is no quarterback talent to be had out there, and our guys can't get the job done. Period.

We don't want a Vet..We pass on them every offseason. I'm really shocked we passed on Garcia considering he play so well in Eagle offense since that was Chilly's baby.

McNabb COULD be the answer...but not if he comes with a high price tag.
I would rather get Derek Anderson...even if the cost is a first- and a third-rounder next season.BANNED OR DEAD...I'LL TAKE EITHER ONE

Re: Why don't we sign a vet qb??
I thought about it, there is one way I would support Derek Anderson.
The fact that if we gave him a contract we could lock him up long term for a heck of a lot cheaper than if we used our first round pick to draft a rookie QB who has never played a down, and i'd be willing to lose an extra 3rd round for the money saved and exp.
But only if we locked him up for a good price.

I think you are right Shultz...I am not at all sure we could get him though? The last thing this team needs is a Washed Up Veteran. It will be interesting to see what happens in the off season and who is actually available??
Cheers!Where is Frostbite Falls Minnesota?

for Culpepper to develop.
More than a QB, however, is the need for a decent OC.
The way St. Louis is going,
Scott Linehan may be looking for a job.
