But then our Qb won't be as pressured because defender won't be flying to the line. Moving him out into the slot will force the defense to check off. We will still get blitzed but dfenders will be more focused on a target that is now further away from the QB, giving Gus room to throw.
    That's a WR's job.
Maybe if they would step up and actually catch the ball thrown their way more consistanlty, we could run better.
All Defenders are not going to be focused on 1 player.
They will still blitz and hammer our QB.

    Did Hampton do this?

    ;D
with AP in the slot that would take a linebacker or safety to go cover him which will open up the middle of the field
But AD (it's All Day, not AP) in the backfield the entire Defense has to be weighing the possibility of a run.
He is more dangerous as a back out of the backfield; running or coming out on a pass play.
Play action is what we need to use more with him, not splitting him out wide or in the slot.
Yes, occasionally we could mix it up for a play or 2.
    But lets not kid ourselves.
Football is a little more complex than just scripting new schemes 1/4 of the way through the season.

its working for the miami. and its only "all day" when he is on the field all day. brad keeps pulling him off on 3rd downs and i know its cuz CT blocks better but what better way to show its a pass. and im done giving these players to much credit about being smart cuz i have seen some dumb moves by defences

Adrian has never been a great receiver like Westbrook.
Westbrook excels in the slot because he is small and is good at getting loose in space.
    He is shifty.
Westbrook has great hands, even for receivers.
Peterson is still dropping easy balls.

Peterson isn't as agile as Westy.
He is a much better runner and has the explosion, but his style is just different.

    Just give it time.
Our passing game is starting to finally suceed a little bit.
As soon as it gets to the point where teams will be forced to take a man or two out of the box on a consistent basis, you'll see the holes start to get bigger and the yardage totals start to get back to normal AD-type numbers.

Calling him AP is acceptable.. AD is his true nickname, but AP is just fine

And he isn't the greatest catcher and im not sure how his route running would be so putting him in the slot might not work how some people think

And I totally agree we need more play action.. Gus needs to sell it more when we do use it

I want to see a play action pass! Would it kill to see some play action, and then go deep to BB? I mean... They are putting 8 or 9 in the box! We should be able to pass so easily now!
    [/quote]

    No doubt.
You have a serious run threat you do not throw him out wide.
You playaction and take a few steps off the defenders.

Why don't we us AD for kick off returns every once in a while?? If Reggie can get two for long in a game AD should do good, if not just as well as Bush. AD was good at it at the begining of last year.
