Why cant we ever close a game?

Acquiring a winning mentality and a killer instinct is tough in the NFL. As we win more games and our confidence grows, we'll see our team start to close games.

The three games that someone posted earlier which we "closed" were all very late in the year, during a streak when our team's confidence was sky high. Earlier in the 2007, there were games like the Detroit OT loss, and the close win against Chicago.

I have patience on this issue. Showing resolve to comeback after the momentum has violently swung against you is also a nice trait for our team to have. That was on full display last Sunday, and against the Saints as well. In the past similar blunders crippled us.

B.
Your veteran QB throws dumb interceptions.
C.

I think we get a lead of 7 or 10 points and then the defense starts to relax and depends to much on the opposing offense to make mistakes.

I seriously doubt you have watched any of our games.

The only game where the defense blew a big lead was Indy.

What about the other 6 games in which we held a lead?

You can't make such a general statement based on only one game.
