Tragedy.....I hope they dont move them. I will definately follow them wherever they land if they do move this franchise elsewhere.

I kindof liken this to the Celtics.

Back in the day (Pre Timberwolves) I followed them cause they had Kevin. Although I was happy to see him suceed, it was kindof hollow. Championships didn't make me want to run out in my front yard and light fireworks or honk the shit out of my horn......

If the Vikes move, I will still probalby follow them, however, I think it would be a hollow victory, unless of course the land at my two words...

    Bowershill VA.

    Back on topic........

It would be an interesting study, I think, if one were to take all the agents, and compare how they recommended thier players handled things like contract negotiations and hold outs when those negotiations didn't go according to plan.

I think one would have to discount this years crop of players and how thier associated agents are dealing with things as we are seeing players taking new steps in the area of contract negotiations because of the lack of a CBA.

Even though most use the excuse "No one contacted them" as proof they don't need a bigger payday, I don't cotton to that. I am 100% convinced the owners had a agreement amongst themselves that for this year, they wouldn't go after another teams players, unless of course the team told said player, go ahead and see what you can get.

And even then, I think they probably talked amongst themselves to see if it was OK to go after said player.

That is all speculation on my part (as always) and have no proof of it. What will be fun to watch, and what I will use as proof, is how many of the players in this boat won't entertain offers from thier teams next year, or the year after, when contract talks start anew.

    Report: Peterson leaves marketing agent
Usually a sign a player isn't happy with something related to his money and more proof said player isn't playing for the love of the game.
