Who's Worse: Steckle or Childress

Les Steckle (1984) was another Vikings coach billed as a disciplinarian who was also a disaster as an x and o's man.
Does Childress resemble him in style at all?
How come Steckle got such a quick hook and Childress gets to languish?
Why is it that these Bobby Knight types (include the N.Y. Giants coach in this discussion) suck so bad as NFL HC's.
By the way, you think that's why Knight never coached in the NBA? ??? ???

Childress signed a 5 year deal, and thus I'm sure that there won't be a quick hook.
Not sure of the terms of Steckels contract.

I really do hate Chilly, but at least he's won a few games. Steckel didn't win any if my memory serves me correctly.

I just wonder if Marrdro wanted Steckel to have a minimum of 3 years to build the team his way.

Even if the Vikings did finish 8-8 in '83 and not make the playoffs, I think Steckle was under a lot of pressure having to replace Grant so he probably wasn't given much of a chance.

How do you know? You were probably still in diapers as were a lot of others.

Take it from one who remembers the Les Steckle days quite well......He Sucked big time!!!

Where as Childress sucks most of the time!!!

If Childress doesn't improve soon I vote to put him and Steckle in speedos, in a mud pit, and put them in this years S.B. Half Time Show and let girls from the Lingerie bowl throw Footballs at them for points. Head Shot 10....Body shot 5 etc.

My logic is Steckle deserves it for his past deeds....and Childress might get hit in the head hard enough to cause enlightenment!!
