Thread: Who will be the Vikings next big QB?

I was hoping 'the fridge' would come out of retirement and play QB for us.
I saw him once on 'battle of the network stars' and he threw the ball 74 yds from his back foot.
That's who we need.
Screw Brad Johnson and Tarvaris Jackson and all the other QBs in the league.
They are all secretly trying to emulate Perry.

Snakes on a Plane will quarterback us to victory.

Without question our most important offseason move in the future is to find a solid veteran backup.
Jackson is the future of this team in theory but we need an insurance policy.
We have seen it so many times.
Cunningham coming in after Brad went down, George for Cunningham when he couldn't get it done, and Brad for Daunte.
At this point we have no idea who will be the QB from '07-'09.
Jackson will get his chances but if the team is close and he's not getting it done, some previously washed up backup can come in and become a pro-bowler.
We just don't know right now.

I love Brad Johnson and am happy he's back, although, I do miss seeing the ball flying from CPepp to Moss...
Brad has absolutely no shot at the Hall of Fame, that is, unless he wins two or three more Super Bowls.
I've always thought he should be a coach, I think he could be a head coach; for goodness sake, didn't I see Keith Millard coaching the Raiders D-Line?
Also, TJack looked like he has the makings of a good NFL QB, I'm cautiously optimistic.

I'd like to see Bj stay healthy through the '07 season.
From there, Jackson will most likely take over.
I just hope he plays smart.
I'd rather have a cool calm smart QB than a Vick-a-like.
Although, cramming them both together would be nice..

From what I saw on Monday night I think T.J. will be the backup.
I liked his ability to scrambel like Daunte and his ability to throw the ball as well.
He was very accurate as well, so I think T.J.'s got the backup and then when the time comes the starting job.

i believe BJ will probably start this season, but TJ will or should be the next in line O'Sullivan and the other one (can't remember his name) did not impress me at all

Heres how i c it.If B Johnson has a good year and takes us to the playoffs i c him starting next year again but if the vikes dont make the playoffs and wind up playing out the stretch with like 4
or five games left then i expect johnson to b pulled to give tarvaris the last 5 starts and then he would start all of next season

Hopefully Jackson will be the next big QB for us. He can sit and learn this year and next year take over a la what Daunte did!
