Re: Who will be the Minnesota Vikings Head Coach in '08???

yeah we shouldn't have low balled Nate... that was a bad move..
Moss, shouldn't have been traded.. he gets a bad rap from the media comparing him to TO, but in my opinion it's not even close.. and should have gotten more for moss.
pepp, had to go, we just should have drafted smarter with the pick.
other than that though, i don't think we've let anybody go.. Just a matter of poor drafting in key spots in addition to not being able to identify key talent later on in the draft.
where guys like Brady, Colston were found to name a few..
but the drafts haven't necessarily been bad!!
    just not stellar.
and with a better QB/passing game, i think T-Will will come around.

as for HC candidates.. i don't really know of any that would be good fits around here... none of the ones on the poll seem to be much of an improvement over what we have now, with the exception of Cower and Marty..

    maybe someone gets fired..

He also wanted to go to Seattle becasue it is his home.
If he didn't want to go he wouldn't have agreed to any terms Seattle offered.
Look, I like Nate right along with the rest of you and think the whole low ball contract offer was a poohie thing, however, he isn't the greates WR to ever strap it on.
In fact, barring one standout year, he is mediocre/sub par at best and probably didn't deserve a much bigger contract.

So what changed after 2004??? Since being in Seattle he has done slightly better than his last two seasons here??? Did he lose a step somewhere....Does he have the QB to get him the ball up there in Seattle??? It's hard to understand how he could have had such a big season in 2004 and go on to the dismal showing he had for 2005 till now.

    Cheers!

So getting back to topic....Sorry for the change of direction everyone....I would love to see Cower here in Minnesota. He strikes me as a no-nonsense straight forward...shoot from the hip guy that earns respect as a leader.

Sorry....I don't see that is Brad Childress. Parcels would be good but I doubt we could coax him back in....Somebody mentioned Martz....He might want another HC job soon??? Not sure about the Fit though being he's the O-coordinator of Division rival Lions currently.

    Cheers!

I really believe players will underacheive unless properly motivated by the HC. Not always but over time. And if our HC tried to motivate this team, how would the players even know? I swear i cant undrestand what childress is trying to say 90% of the time. But then i may not be the brightest bulb in the pack..

After the game I saw Zygi Wilf in the parking lot and told him to fire Childress

    He laughed and kept running

I agree with you on those three.

Other players we shouldn't have let go include: Fran Tarkenton, Chris Doleman, Gary Zimmerman, Todd Steussie, Rich Gannon, Chris Hovan, John Randle, and Henry Thomas.

    (Yes, I'm serious.)

Can you say Randy Moss, with a capable (not great) supporting cast that maybe left Nate one on one in alot of instances.
(At least thats the way I remember the year.)

    Kelly Campbell, WR
    Nate Burleson, WR

    Marcus Robinson, WR

Good OL, Moe, Bennett, Memo along with Daunte helped.
Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v343/josdin00/Vikings/Marrdro_sig.jpg
