I am seeing
Harvin------lock
Simpson----lock
Childs------lock
Wright------lock
Jenkins-----High probability if healthy
Burton------hopefully as good as early reports
I would rather see Arceneaux than Aromashodu as the 3 week fill-in for Simpson. I thought Shodu dropped to many easy passes last year. At least Arceneaux could get a little screen time to further his career. Why must you defend everything this FO does....to the point of making your self look like a yes man.

I think people who think Aromashodu is out is way off.
Harvin, Jenkins and Simpson are locks. Beyond that it is really fairly open, but Aromashodu has to have an edge in that he was here last season and somewhat productive. IF they carry five guys, then Arceneaux and Burton are absolutely gone. If they carry six guys, both of those guys are likely gone.
I imagine on day one it is going to be Harvin, Jenkins, Childs, Wright and Aromashodu ... and it will be up to the last three to prove their weight before Simpson comes back unless they decide to carry six.

I bet we carry 6 WRs.
Disclaimer: I'm an idiot.

1. Harvin
2. Childs
3. Wright
4. Jenkins
5. Simpson
6. Burton
That pretty much to me seems like the logical choice to go with from a talent standpoint. Arceneaux is all but done and I think Aromashodu is a long shot to make the roster. One guy I'm keeping a focus on is Bryan Walters from Cornell. From the videos I've seen from him on YouTube he definitely has the ability to make tough catches, but can he do it against NFL Cornerbacks? He'll definitely get a chance to show his stuff in preseason but I think he has all the makings of a blue collar diamond in the rough. We'll see though. I'm definitely more confident about our talent at WR at this point than I was last year.

I've never seen Childs , wright, or even Simpson take a snap in purple!
I've barely seen Burton.
Harvin, Childs, and Jenkins are coming off injuries.
Isn't it a little premature for fans to be ranking these guys?
The same question asked after training camp will likely have a different answer.
Hell, Childs isn't healthy enough to participate in OTA's, how is he a shoe in?

You're right, It is definitely premature, but it is something Vikings to talk about.
They just signed Simpson to be their outside guy, so he is unlikely to get cut this year. Childs and Wright are this years 4th round picks, so they won't get cut yet. Cutting any of them would be Spielman saying," I F'd up my first year at the helm, I'm letting this guy go. On Burton I am just going on reports out of OTA's that he has looked good. I know they are usually rosy reports right now, but let's hope he really is looking like a big contributor. He really didn't get a chance last year, so they may give him this year to prove himself, unless he stinks it up in camp.
Harvin won't be cut. Jenkins really will be determined by how well he has recovered.
I certainly hope this all changes after TC because a couple of guys really stand out in camp and look as if they are going to have great years. We will find out then. Why must you defend everything this FO does....to the point of making your self look like a yes man.

I'm always on the hope wagon this time of year no matter how bad the previous year went.
I have high hopes that Childs can live up to his potential and Simpson can have a career breakout year despite the suspension.
I also hope Burton can continue his improvement and Wright's speed will be matched by his other skills.
But most of all, I hope the wide receiver corps looks a fair amount different than last year.
In theory they are counting on Simpson to stretch the field and open up everything underneath.
If that happens, I think everything will get a lot easier for this offense.
I'm looking forward to preseason.
