I got this article here.. Interesting enough, it says about half way down in the article that Ron Rivera of the Bears, his contract expires after the SB.. If he doesn't get the HC job in Dallas, I wouldn't mind seeing him as DC with the Vikings, then replace Childress if he has another bad season next year..

Rivers isn't going to take a lateral move.
He will most likely be a HC next year, and he deserves it too IMHO.

I'm still banking on Dunbar getting the nod.

Re: Who will be a good candidate as the Vikings next defensive coordinator?

    Vikings coaching candidates become available

Two events this week should conspire to push along the Vikings' search for a defensive coordinator: the Super Bowl and Wednesday's college football signing day.

Sunday's night's official end of the NFL season lifted all restrictions barring potential interviews for Chicago and Indianapolis assistants. A number of candidates on both staffs have emerged as potential targets for the Vikings -- including Colts defensive backs coaches Leslie Frazier and Alan Williams, as well as Bears linebackers coach Bob Babich.

The Vikings could request interviews with any of those coaches as early as today.

The candidacy of another coach could become more serious this week, when high school seniors make their written commitments to universities. Nebraska defensive coordinator Kevin Cosgrove, a longtime colleague and friend of Vikings coach Brad Childress, might not want to consider a move until after the Cornhuskers secure their recruiting class.

Cosgrove told the Lincoln Journal Star last week that he is not a candidate for the Vikings job, a stance that conceivably could change after signing day. There is no indication the Vikings have approached him. There have been no confirmed interviews in the 15 days since Pittsburgh hired former defensive coordinator Mike Tomlin as its head coach.

The Vikings also have two internal candidates who do not appear to be Childress' top choice: defensive line coach Karl Dunbar and linebackers coach Fred Pagac.

Thanks to PPE for the sig.

I really want to apply for this job, but I have a feeling they will discriminate me due to lack of experience.

Let's start a petition to get Cajun this job!

If he got the job they would run the DED defense (Donnie Edwards Defense).
We already have too many reasons to attack Cajun, we don't need more.
