Bud said he would never coach football in todays leaugue. He said too many players play for the money & not solely for the love of the game.

Those players who would remain Vikings & play for him because they love the game & love to win with a hefty paycheck taking a back seat would be the types of players Bud would look for.

With that being said, I would say Birk & Jimmy K.

hmm money taking a backseat to the lvoe of the game and doing everything to win? sounds supisciously like the most succseful orginization in pro football right now.

Birk, Kleinsasser, and Richardson are the only guys I can think of that could earn Grant's respect. Everyone else is either too young, untalented, or selfish.

Hutch should be on everybody's list.
He had a bit of a down season last year, but he's an animal in there....a violent, mauling blocker.
I loved that guy to death when he was with the Seahawks, and when we got him I whooped my ass off until my wife told me to shut the hell up.

I don't know who on our current roster is tough enough to play outside late season, but my nominations are Both Pat and Kevin Williams, C. Greenway, A. Winfield, J. Kleinsasser, Birk and Hutch..... I picked the ex-Bills as I know its mighty cold in Buffalo, The Dakota guys, and Birk from Minny... well and Hutchinson is just a tough sob...
