Who should Minnesota draft in the 1st round?

this is how i would draft

1)patrick willis. a LB? why? he is beastly. he would be the anchor to our incredibly talent defense.

i would LOVE to have him on my team.

2) RT- i dont know my gaurds or tackles very well for the draft, but i do know that justin blalock out of texas is a pretty gol'darnit good lineman.

3) WR- someone explosinve who can make plays. this draft is fairly deep in WRs and i wouldnt hesitate to pick one of them up. calvin johnson is going too high for us...

I would say a WR, but I'm still smarting from the last 1st round WR we drafted. We may be better off getting a #1 WR from free agency and using the 1st round pick on the best player available because we're not bleeding at any other spot.

yep!, if not then trade it along with kenechi udeze to somebody for a DE

udeze is just as big a bust as williamson..the guy has no sacks and hasnt faced a single double team this season..that is absolutely pathetic

What about Meachem out of Tenn.
Not necessarily in the first roudn but a possible 2nd or 3rd roudn pick?
Watched him play a couple of time, we got a lot of the Tennessee games when i was in MO.
He looked pretty good.

My Vikings wish list:

1. Calvin Johnson, WR, GT (Trade up to get this kid!)
2. DeWayne Jarrett, WR, USC (Could use more speed)
3. Ted Ginn Jr., WR, OS (Fast, KR/PR, Not sure about the drops)
4. Adrian Peterson, RB, OK (A talent like his comes around sparsely)
5. Alan Branch, DT, Mich (Would replace PWilliams for the next decade)
6. Patrick Willis, ILB, Ole Miss (Could replace Harris if not resigned)
7. Laron Landry, S, LSU (Most versatile DB IMHO and Sharper's eventual replacement)

These are just a few I wouldn't mind seeing the Vikings go after but if left to one guy who could have an immediate impact for this team, then Calvin Johnson needs to be drafted, even if it means trading multiple picks for the guy!
