Who should Minnesota draft in the 1st round?
Who do you think the Vikes should draft in the 1st round in April?
In my opinion they should draft Dwayne Jarrett out of USC if he comes into the draft!

They should draft the BPA from among WR, OL
and DE. I am personally hoping for Calvin, but I don't expect him to be there ( though our draft position seems to be improving each week). Jarrett would be OK, but I don't think he'd provide immediate help. I think Calvin would, but, whichever is available. Where will we be drafting at #12? I'd love to see a certain monster OT.

Re: Who should Minnesota draft in the 1st round?
I think we should definitely draft a WR in the first round being there is not big name going onto the FA market.
Ted Ginn will most likely be gone by the time we pick i would be shocked if he was still there.
Jarret would be nice but i think Dwayne Bowe from LSU would be a great pick also.

Re: Who should Minnesota draft in the 1st round?
I believe we'll be drafting at #7 at the very best. Somewhere between 11 and 7.
I would love to see Jarrett here. He's pretty much everything that Troy Williamson isn't. Surehanded, tall, reliable, makes the big catch, but somewhat slow. Kind of like a Keyshawn type receiver.
Johnson is probably out of the question at this point.
Ginn has the gamebreaking speed, has some trouble with drops, but is an absolutely electrifying kick returner and great on screen passes and taking it to the house with his speed.
This draft is WR heavy so I could see childress (being an o-line guy) going for a great o-lineman in the first or a great DE like Quentin Moses and drafting a WR later on.

Re: Who should Minnesota draft in the 1st round?
Oh PPE, how you scare me with Ginn. Just a hint that he may drop some balls is enough for me to want nothing to do with him. If we didn't already have a stable full of ball droppers, then take the chance based on his other attributes, but no more ball droppers, PLEASE. I agree that Chill might avoid WR at #1 in favor of OL in what is supposed to be a deep WR draft, but he better not pass on Calvin IF Calvin somehow slides to us.

Re: Who should Minnesota draft in the 1st round?
I would like to do what the falcons did last year. They traded down in the first round and got an extra pick and john abraham. We should do that to get Freeney.

Someone will be available if not at the draft at the UFA market
