Is anyone here opposed to the White Earth Indian Tribe proposal? $400 million to stadium, casino in the Cities, and ongoing profit sharing to the State annually? Helps the poorest tribe in the state, and helps the State with a new facility? More reliable than pull tabs!
I'm not opposed to it in fact I figured that was the best bet for the stadium to get through. Opponents will argue that gambling ruins families and all that but they said the same thing about alcohol. If you don't like it don't go to the casino its as simple as that. Plus with the revenue share the state will make even more money off of this without paying anything at all. The only potential issue would be that it could release the flood gates for other tribes building casinos near the cities potentially reducing the area to Vegas or worse Atlantic City.
I don't think the NFL will let it fly due to their view on gambling
I'm all for it! Whatever it takes to get it done.

I would love to see a casino but not tied to them. Before you jump on the bandwagon do a little digging into how faithful they have been to other agreements they did with the state. They are not bound by the same rules that the state is and you may want to verify how much of the proceeds they can actually commit to something like this.
A state run casino would be perfect.
