A weak armed QB is a weak armed QB. You have a strong arm or you don't. Not being allowed to throw it deep, does not make your arm weak.
A strong arm vs a weak arm doesn't necessarily one can throw deep & one can't. It also has to with the velocity at which the ball is thrown.

BTW, he never showed that he could throw the ball deep. consistently & accurately. When did he do that?

    He was 4 for 21 (19%) on passes 21 to 30 yards.
    He was 0 for 8 (0%) on passes 31 to 40 yards.
He was 1 for 3 (33%) on passes over 40 yards.

    Personally, I don't consider 1 completed pass on 11 attempts (9%) over 30 yards consistently & accurately.

When he steps into it he can throw the damn ball pretty hard because I have seen him do it more than once.
He has been able to throw the ball deep and hard on a couple of occasions, but mostly throws floaters. The question is why don't the majority have some zip?

    Sounds like a footwork issue.

    Where's the Money Best Spent?

Are we even sure he's right handed? Maybe he should try throwing "lefty" next year. Bobby Douglas threw better than him. I would even welcome Joe Kapp's ugly ducks.

Couldn't the Vikings have redone/extended some of the contracts in 2012 such that any "signing bonus" would have come out of the Vikings 2012 cap surplus rather than taking the bigger hit for it in 2013?
