Where would we be with...
Brett Favre?
I said all along that he would only help this team and it continues to show.
In Gus we Trust yes, but Brett would have made this team into a 3-1 ball club if not 4-0 at this point in the season.
In Gus we Trust.

Re: Where would we be with...
If you think the Packers would have traded him to a division rival you are a fool. Notice he is in the AFC...there is a reason for that.
If you promise to be smarter, I will promise to be nicer.

Note the 6 TD's last week.. the primary reason the Packers threw as many roadblocks in the way as they could. 1. He was not going to play in Green Bay.
2. He wasn't going to play for a team that played the Packers twice this season.
So exactly right.. there is a reason for that.

Doesnt take a rocket scientist to figure that one out. Even had they left on golden terms he wouldnt play in the North regardless."Del" wrote:

Re: Where would we be with...
Our luck he would be on IR right now because Hicks let some DE hit him from the blind side ending his consecutive start streak.

It's easy to say this now.
Another hindsight 20/20 of course.

Where would we be with Peyton Manning? I mean hell ... as long as we are asking about QBs we had a zero percent chance of having I figure I will wonder what it would have been like with Peyton.

No i disagree,
Farve held all of the cards in this one.
He had to be convinced to play elsewhere and not tarnish his image.
1) Farve could have refused to report to any of the teams that wanted to trade for him. making it known publicly that he won't play for anywhere else but the Vikes.
2) Teams would not have traded for him fearing it turned ugly like Tampa. He was also traded after the 53 man rosters were finalized, most teams won't cut somone hoping that another player takes their place.
3) The Pack could have then deceided to keep him but the noise would have been way to large. 2 years 12 million a year is a huge hit to the salary cap. All the while the media is creating a circus like the TO saga. Fans are screaming play him or cut him. While Brett is on Espn ever sunday asking to be traded.
I think the only reason Brett isn't a Viking this year is because he wanted to leave Greenbay with a positive image.
There would be no Jersey to retire if he forced Greenbay's hands to play for a rival and it turned nasty. I overestimated how much he wanted to play for us.

Shit, look at the situation now. The packers are 2-3 and a game behind Chicago. Do you think things would be all rosey in Packerland with Favre riding the pine??

Favre wouldn't be riding the pine in GB. He'd be starting by now.
Never will I be able to figure out GB's thinking. Let a legend and top rated QB go in favor of a guy riding the bench with no backups. This makes absolutely no sense.Kentucky Vikes Fan

When you require nothing, you get nothing; when you expect nothing, you will find nothing; when you embrace nothing, all you will have is nothing.
