Re: Where we stand: Week 7 edition
I think it's very important to go into the bye week at 7-1. That would give us a 2.5 game lead in the division, and a 2-1 record after the tough stretch of vs. BAL, @ PIT, @ GB.
However, I think it needs to be said that the 5-game stretch of NFC opponents we are about to play is also very important, maybe MORE important. Going 4-1 or even 3-2 against @GB, vs DET, vs SEA, vs CHI, @ ARI would land us at 9-3 or 10-2, and win us an awesome amount of tiebreakers.
I love how every game matters."I hate when threads are destroyed by facts and logic."

Re: Where we stand: Week 7 edition
i like where we are. lets be realistic, the 3 teams in the NFC which have a strong chance to go deep in the playoffs is the Vikings, Saints and Giants. whats important for us to attain home field advantage throughout the playoffs.
The saints have the falcons coming up twice, and the patriots. if the give up a game against the
falcons and lose to the patriots which is in week 12, they have a good chance in going 14-2.
the giants have philly coming up twice (which always play them hard), atlanta, denver and us on week 17 (which might be played seriously for home field advantage or first round bye.)
we got the seahawks, cardinals, and giants (week 17). we have a good chance in getting home field advantage, as long as we stay focused and "take one game at a time."
i think the deciding factor in for us to goto the promise land is to have a first round bye, and have homefield.

This is a positive look, my personal prediction for the 6 teams will be 1. Saints 2. Vikes 3. Giants 4. Cardinals 5. Falcons 6. Packers. Out of those 5 opposing teams, I see the only huge threat being the Saints, and we will cross that bridge when we get there. We just keep winning games and staying in the top 2, then this season will be just fine.

but first we knock off the Packers at home in the NFC Championship.

Re: Where we stand: Week 7 edition
I can see us going 6-2 after the bye, with the Giants and Cincy being the best competition, Hopefully though we can go 8-0, alright we've got to stop jinxing ourselves with these best case scenarios, This bye comes at the best time, after our toughest stretch of the year, then Detroit, Seattle and the Bears, I'm seeing a 35-40pt output after the week of rest (It is against the Lions)Even if the Vikings lose, I can still find happiness in Bears, and Packer losses.
