Re: Where is the PASS RUSH???

The quick passes outta shotgun are true, but I've said for a few weeks now that the weakest part of our d isn't our secondary, but our pass rush. I like the idea of trading smoot, udeze, and a later pick for a d-end. On the other hand, I believe udeze was a first round pick outta usc a couple of years ago, he could still be being developed. I don't
think he flat out sucks, but there is room for improvement in that position.

Smoot, Udeze, 3rd for Freeney FTW
Because I'm a Vikings fan, they are that much sexier.

Dwight Freeney is actually a free agent after this season.
All it would take to get him is tons of money.
I think after we cut some of the fat around here this offseason we could for sure afford him.
He is only 26 so he is still a young guy.
Think about adding him to our line and Nate Clements to our secondary, that would be sweeeeet.

They may want to hold onto their best pass rusher.

    Clements would be awesome!
Another Buckeye to go along with Winfield would kick ass!

Well of course the Colts would like to keep him.
I don't know if they can put another tag on him and I don't know if they have the cap space to match another teams long term offer.
I do think it is a strong possiblity that Freeney will play somewhere else next year but you never know.

ohhh freeny sounds good, especially at 26. I don't really have a good idea of nate's skills.

Good luck getting Freeney. I highly doubt the Colts would let him go, unless of course they have THAT much money locked up into offense that they can't afford him, but my guess is that they can.

James hasn't played a full year in the two years he's been here.
He will help, but can he stay healthy?
Udeze is having a off year as he did o.k. last year.
I agree that we need a better pass rush to take some pressure off the secondary.
They can only cover for so long.
