Where is the PASS RUSH???
I was so excited how the game started out with that hit on Pennington by NAPO forcing a fumble which was recovered by my boy EJ (who had another great game).
However, that was the only time we really made Chad uncomfortable.
He spent the rest of the game sitting in a recliner picking apart our secondary.
It also bothers me that it seems like the only time we do get pressure on the QB it is because our linebackers are getting to him on blitzs.
Our front 4 have been AMAZING stoping the run, but the biggest part of the Tampa 2 is to get pressure on the QB from that front 4 because the secondary is playing a zone and needs the QB to be hurried before the recievers find the soft spots.
That secondary did not play well at all but any QB in the nfl with the kind of time Pennington got today can kill a defense!
I miss erasmus james! :'( :

What do you fella's think?

Eramus is hurt.
Seriously he is the only DE we have that has enough speed to even pressure the QB.
This team needs to pickup another DE and demote Udeze and Scott to the bench.

Re: Where is the PASS RUSH???
Looks like we are gonna need to burn another draft pick on a DE. Not the 1 though, cause we need that one for a WR.

Re: Where is the PASS RUSH???
I agree... I don't even think Udeze has a sack if he does it is only 1 which is a HUGE dissapointment.
Scott leads the front 4 in sacks and that is not saying much because he is not even a pass rushing type DE.
As much double teams as the 2 Williams boys command it is really up to our DE's to be the sack leaders WHICH IS NOT THE CASE!!!
We need a healthy Erasmus James and I think Ray Edwards can possibly develop but it is going to be something they have to look at in the offseason with FA and the draft.
GOTTA HAVE MORE PRESSURE ON THE QB in the Tampa 2... BOTTON LINE!

Any QB can pick apart a Zone defense without a good pass rush!
