    Re: Where are the haters?

I think I am considered a hater even though I love this team and said a number of time last week that we will win the North. I also said that Pep would play well and that the turnover problem was over. I have to give MeMo credit. Played like he had a pair. Tice is still the worst coach in the league but that was one hell of a win. And how about finally throwing deep to Troy. i remember one of the threads last week a bunch of us agreed that we would love to see us run the ball and see the deep ball to Troy. That play was sweet. Its good to see us use the guy we took #7 overall which was one of my biggest complaints after the first two weeks.

    Way to represent yourself.
    I like that.
Said what he meant, and meant what he said.
And is here today to say so.
    Good job Mensa Tice!

    Re: Where are the haters?

I've never liked Tice since day one, and everybody who knows me personally knows I've never kept that a secret.

I would never call for Daunte's head either. Last week, I said that if he came out and had another terrible game, he might have to sit for a while to get his head back in it. I would never say make that move permanantely. He could've bedn last years MVP. I knew he would break out of his slump and have a game like yesterday. He's too talented to stay in a slump. I'm extremely happy about that.

If you have a top-tier offense, and have for years, and you are not making it to the big dance...then what is the logical choice? Build up the defense, any coach would have done that.

    Denny didn't.

Anyway, this wasn't directed as much at the Tice haters because one game makes a coach not. It was more the people just tearing apart Daunte and some of the D boys.

Just amazing they aren't here still pressing their case.

    Oh wait.
It wasn't lack of effort that had Denny not building the defense. He drafted defense as much as he did offense, they just never panned out.
Terrible judge of defensive talent, he wouldn't listen to his scouts! Rumor has it that they would spend about 3 days getting the draft board in order, and then the night before the draft Denny would change all of it and that was their draft order.

He was a good judge of offensive players, but not defense. Really made me mad when we did not draft Warren Sapp!
    Rumor has it huh? lol

That is the way that he did it, I just can not prove it to you.
What we've got here is failure to communicate.

    Its funny:

We lose and all hell breaks loose here! Forum is disarray.

    We win...its kinda quiet.

Some people just love to complain and moan. They are bored because there is nothing to complain about.

My dad (rest his soul) and brother are the same way!

Making the playoffs should not be a goal it should be an expectation. ..... IMO if Tice doesn't at least make it to the NFC championship game this year he should be gone. Just winning the division and getting knocked off in the first couple rounds of the playoffs isn't going to get it for me.
A lot of coaches would be out of jobs every year if that was the theory. We got to where he promised we'd be in his time frame...not many other coaches have delivered on their promises of playoff teams, even moreso in the environment he's had to do it in. A lot of coaches should be out of jobs. There's more to it than that.

If we get to the NFC championship game, plenty of you will still be calling for his head because he forgot to give you a reach around along the way. Its a disease!!

Cannot complain but so much when you are so content, winning in almost all phases of the game helps too. very little went wrong yesterday.

When your team is a given for the playoffs, and the only major change is the head coach, you have to wonder about the guy.

I mean he even admitted he has kept everything the same on offense lol since 1992!!! Give me a break, the guy is a hinderence not an asset, he scalps tickets and makes dumb decisions. I only call for his removal in the offseason anyway.

You get what you pay for and someone found Tice's ass kicking around the clearance aisle in a bankrupt K-mart under a flashing blue light, and figured.........what the hell.

I could find something to complain about. I'm just too damn tired. I guess I could complain about being tired...........I hate being tired
