Thread: When Winfield Plays

I have way more confident in the defense when winfield's playing, he pretty much holds the secondary together. Before the meltdown in Chicago when he was injured the defense was playing there best football to date, then he went down and the hutchison looked like brett favre.

Anyone that voted D sucks w/ or w/o him must be a pack fan. He's the only one that can actually stop a team from going 80yrds in the last 2 min of 4th Q.

Yeah he's a vital part of our defense, i have way more faith when he's in the game.

It's obvious that the defense is much more better with him in, some people dont see it though.

Anyone heard his status for this week? Just nickle again?

I havnt heard anything, he played less than 20 plays on friday and was sore after the game. Since they played firday he has 8 days of rest for the ankle. If its gonna hurt him i think we should take our chances and play without him so he is ready for the playoffs. Although i hate to say that, i dont know if i could stand to see our secondary get torched for the third week in a row.

Kevin Williams and Antoine Winfield are the only one's I have any faith in to make a play.

Claiborne when he isn't injured is good too... but I don't have much faith in him since he is ALWAYS injured!!

Udeze too. There are some decent to above average players on our defense, but we can absolutely urgrade significantly at a lot of positions.

COULD!! More then likely won't though... until Red sells the team. I think that there is a lot of potential on the D... lots of young players that could develope into something special... but they need more veterans there to help them develope.

That's funny...on another thread you said that Winfield couldn't hold KWill's jock...but you still have confidence in him? Make up your mind, dude...either you think that he is good or not. :roll:
