I see Childress was wearing his "silly" hat for the KC scrimmage. I wonder if it will be a permanent fixture during the pre-season and regular games. If so the TV networks will have a field day with that.
And notice how Herm is showing Childress his play sheet!
    ;D

I kinda like the hat myself.
We used to wear the same style hat on the commercial fishing boat I used to work on.

    Marrdro,
Where did you and your wife get your hats?

I'm thinking of getting one for myself.
Marrdro has the wrong one, you need to get the link from singer.
    He found the right one.
The ones I got Ned are from the Link BLV put in this thread.
They are pretty good hats even if they don't look exactly like the Chillers
    ;D
Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v343/josdin00/Vikings/Marrdro_sig.jpg

I tell you that Childress is a real no-nonsense , fire and brimstone kind of coach. This picture was snapped in the player dorms. Apparently one of the players was goofing offf after hours and Chilly, hat on and all,
decided to take matters into his own hands. What a disciplinarian!!!!!!! You can see the startled look on the assistant coaches face upon walking in to this horrible scene. I hear the player only sustained minor injuries, but I bet the other players will think twice before pulling old Chillys chain!!!!!

I have some mixed feelings about the offense based on what I have been reading pertaining to camp. I hope they start to gel pretty quickly. Man, there has not been a season, as long as I can remember, where there are so many new faces and question marks pertaining to the offense. I am keeping my fingers crossed.

I figured it out. Childress's hat is actually an updated version of this mind reading device, developed in 1955 by Doctor Emmitt Brown:

It's his new method of "listening in" to what other coaches are thinking. BRILLIANT!!

I thought he was wearing it to protect his bald spot in case his turd polisher blows up.

All he needs is his lucky shirt

That Childress is one dedicated, "no job to tough" kinda coach. Somehow finding time between calling plays and sporting his floppy hat, he is shown here doing some digging and checking the sod to make sure it is up to NFL regulation standards, either that or he dropped a quarter. I got to admit those "hot buns" jeans he is sporting are making even a "straight" guy like me consider taking one for the team. Thar Brad C.

;D, way to support the coach.....just don't wear him out before the game.

The only problem with that theory is there is no sod in the Metrodome. It's artificial turf.

The Sultan of Sod takes care of the fields in Mankato.
