What is your W-L prediction for the 2009 Vikings with Favre at QB?

Since it seems quite probable that Favre will be our starting QB, what is your Win-Loss prediction for the Vikings in 2009 with Favre as our QB?

Note: This should be very interesting since most all, if not all of the Favre supporters here have brought up that Favre took a 4-12 team to 11-5 last year.

BTW, the Vikings were 10-6 last year.

Way to early to predict the season.....We could lose a key player to injury...Williams Wall misses 4 games, or maybe not....Just to many unknowns right now.
Ask me again, just before Week 1.....

    One thing for sure,
I could easily see us spliting our games with the Pack, but with Brett starting both and a healthy team with all our starters starting, the Pack doesn't have a chance...We go 2-0 against the Pack with Brett at QB..... :P

Re: What is your W-L prediction for the 2009 Vikings with Favre at QB?

Well, I'm still contending that we're roughly equal with any of the 3 possible starting QBs.
And, lucky for us, it would seem we'd still have a chance of winning the first 4 games even without the Wrecking Crew.
Especially if EJ proves to be healthy and back to form.

    1-2
I know they're on the road, but I want wins coming home from CLE and DET!
    3

SF might be tougher than advertised, even in our dome.
The running game is their strength, so the Wall would be nice to have, of the 4 I'm saying this is our most likely loss.
    4

Better beat the freakin Pack at home!!
The switch to 3-4 and development of rookies will likely take time.
    5

STL also needs time to turn around what has been ugly for the past few years...without Holt or Bruce or Faulk.
    6

BAL will be tough at home for sure!
Better be ready to make some freaking Noise!!!
(I intend to be at this one!!
    WOOT!!!)
And bring the house to fluster and flush and frustrate the young QB into mistakes, cuz this will probably be a low scoring, defensive affair.
I'll give us the win by 3 or less, maybe on a botched snap by Birk

    JK.
    7.
Tomlin knows us and the Steelers are champs again.
    Loss.
    8.
    Lameblow.
Unless we sign the Favre, I'll say Loss.
With his insight, maybe we pull an upset.
    9.
Perfect time for a week off!!
    ;D
    10-12.
    Here's where we start rolling.
    Fresh off the bye?
    Kill DET at home!!
Tear up SEA's OL, scare the pooh out of their QB...then CHI at home.
Probably a tough game, they always are, but they did nothing to shore up their injured and underperforming D nor WR core.
We can stop Forte and cover their WRs.
    Win, win, win!
    ;D
    13.
Going to give ARI the revenge factor for humiliating them last season.
    14.
    Bungles at home?
    Come on!!
Better friggin win, cuz now the playoffs start!
    15.
@CAR will be tough, but our strength vs. the run sets us up for a chance at a win.
Gonna say the ball bounces their way.
    16.
    MNF @ the Bears!!
    Could be for the division!
    Either way, another tough battle.
Good chance that Cutler and his OL and WRs have started to gel, but good chance for swirling winds next to the great lake.
Might come down to who has more guys on IR and/or out for the game.
Gonna give it to the Vikes in a snowy, grind it out ground game with Peterson, Taylor and Harvin all getting TDs!
    ;D
    17.
Well, at least we get them at home.
Friggin giants every year ??? WTF?
Most likely, one or both of us will need to win this game, cuz we're all NFC and in what might be 2 of the toughest divisions in football next season.
Whoever it matters most to will win it.
If we beat the Bears and the division is ours, Gints win.

That puts us around 10-6, possibly 11-5 or 12-4 IF we get some good bounces in those tough, close games.
Naturally, a pile of injuries and/or suspensions could potentially derail any team, and we could always end up down around 6-10 or 8-8 too.
Control the line, control the time, and give your D a chance to shine!!

Re: What is your W-L prediction for the 2009 Vikings with Favre at QB?

    I'd say anywhere from 5-11 to 14-2.
    Depends what Favre we get.
The opportunity to have the 14-2 Favre far outweighs the risk of going 5-11, a pain that will last this season, and then not be though of again.

    10-6

Start off hot then he will fuck up

I want him here and think IFFFFF we limit his throws and make sure he is more careful (idk how likely that is) we could be in good shape

I love Jackson.. But feel we can give Brett 1 year

    9-7 with Favre.
2-3 in the last 5 games, just enough to take us out of the playoffs.

Actually I changed it. What it doesn't say is one of the ints went the other way for a td.
    I just present the facts.
I don't have anything against Favre, I just don't want him on the Vikings. Don't think he has what it takes anymore.
    His downside >upside.
As for Sage and T-Jack I feel their upside>downside.
