what you think about passing on a qb in the first round ...

i have said before take best available athlete with the number 8 pick ...grab our guy in the second ...what if the 8 teams in front of us do the same.the tex jag and browns might wait til 2nd round also ...so our guy might not be there .well it starting to look like a top qb will fall to us at 8...yes bridgewater carr even bortles .....i like some of the second or 3rd tier guys better .garoppolo,mettenberger,mcCAROON..i think teams ...gms are seeing quality qbs going 2nd and 3rd round and with the talent teams might pick up a qb when in the past would past ...hoping to find that hidden gem

I think they have to pass on a QB as I do not believe any of them are good enough to be a top 8 qb. If they trade down I would be ok with the first round going with qb as long as it is not Bridgwater. Bridgewater can not handle the pressure of individual team workouts, I am questioning his ability to even play in the nfl. Mack and Watkins are my favorite 2, sadly do not think either will be there at 8.

I dont drink the Kool-Aid. Not one of these Qbs are worth a pick at 8. As I have said before I believe the qbs drafted in later rounds will have better NFL careers then the supposed big 3. I also think that Derek Carr is better than the "top 3". No way no how does Johnny footballs skill set fit with what Norv likes to do on offense. Not even close. He will be another overhyped flop in the NFL. He has to run around and improvise, because he cant read a defense doesn't know what he is seeing.

Regardless of who is there when we pick in the 1st rd at QB, I think they need to go LB here and get a QB in the 2nd rd.

Bortles WILL go top 10, there are just too many QB needy teams, so if we want him, we will have to spend at LEAST the #8 on him. If not MORE

And NO, I do not think he is worth trading up at ALL.

Fine with passing on QB, don't think any of the "top 3" are franchise guys.. Barr or Gilbert will look nice in Purple

Go defense in the first ... QB later. Maybe Tom Savage, Mettenburger etc.

I would rather go defense in the first, but if Bortles or Manziel are available at 8 I wouldn't be too disappointed if we took one of them either.

I am pretty much in this exact same boat. I would have no problem with hearing any of the three QBs called (though I would be less excited for Bridgewater) because we NEED to solve our QB issues at some point. If it means taking a QB every three years until we have one ... then that is what we kind of need to do.
