    Never.
    As Caine said, INT monster.
Hell TJ can come in and throw picks as well as getting some seat time under center.

Consensus on TJ is he is raw and needs experience.
I am of the group that the experience he needs is during game time situations.
Sure the learning curve is gonna be steep this year, but we will see the benifits of suffering through some ugly times as he learns the game.

    As a Backup?
    Again, don't see it.
Of course I am of the minority on here that believe it is Coach Rogers job to teach TJ how to be an NFL QB and not some old has been Vet who can't win a starting job anymore.

Coaches coach and Players play my friends.
If that isn't the case then heck, lets have the Zigmiester fire all the coaches and just let the Vet players run things.

I wouldn't mind him as a backup but that's it.
He would be good to come in and replace when needed and would be an upgrade over Bollinger.
The problem is it will never happen.
He didn't want to be a backup at Denver and he didn't want to be a backup in Tampa.
Why would he want to be a backup in MN?

    Nope, No and Hell No.

The only way the Vikings get a quaterback before the season is if Tarvaris is completely dreadful or gets hurt in pre-season.
The QB they would then target is probably Kelly Holcomb who is going to be released from the Eagles by the end of camp.

With AD at running back, Tarvaris just needs play average and the offense is going to be much better than last year.

AD is the real deal...get excited!

    SKOL!

Setting aside the scattershot play of his career, why would I want a quitter on my team?

At this point I think we are committed to TJack as our QB.
Barring some training camp melt down, or course.
Let's stop speculating about bringing in other QBs to fight for the role, especially one like Plummer.
For better or for worse, we have our starting QB. Now is the time to support him.

I would not want "The Snake" on our team.
I believe we are committed to going into the season with the QB's we have now.

Re: What would your thoughts be on getting Jake Plummer from Tampa Bay

I don't think Plummer would fit our scheme, to be honest. He seems more of a Denver or Oakland type "roll out and throw it deep" kind of QB, and a risk-taker downfield with a good arm. We seem to prefer a guy who "manages" the "West Coast offense" and is not a risk-taker.

On a more personal note, I talked to a bartender who worked in Denver, and he said, Plummer used to come in after games and was a very cool guy and a very BIG tipper.

Sign him then, now, if only the ballboy can confirm his availability and desire to play for the Vikings.
