What would your thoughts be on getting Jake Plummer from Tampa Bay
assuming he would play and agree to a new contract.....he may be released outright during cuts.

I think he has a lot of knowledge that no quarterback on our team comes close to. I wouldn't mind watching him on the sidelines helping out T.J. I think the most respectable players are willing to take a back seat and help someone else.
Will that happen thought? Probably not!

Ill say yes, he should be ok being good with being a backup since he was going to be in denver or tampa anyways.
From what I was reading Tyler Thigpen needs more practice before coming on the field and I hear drew henson isnt doing too bad, but also not good. He could be a solid 2nd or 3rd string, he has what it takes to start, might of been just his bad year (not even bad just acouple of mistakes) in denver but I like what he was doing
there in the past few years.

Re: What would your thoughts be on getting Jake Plummer from Tampa Bay
I don't think it's a particularly good idea, truth be told.
In 10 NFL seasons, Plummer hads had exactly FOUR in which he had more TD's than INT's - of course, 3 of those were in Denver.
To be fair, in one season he had the same of each.
So, that means that 50% of his seasons he threw more INT's.
And, interestingly enough, his career totals for each are 161.
Also, didn't he retire when traded to the Bucs?
Then there was the stink about having to pay back $7 million to the Bucs for failing to fulfill his contract...
Pass on Plummer.

I have to agree with Caine, not only that he is supposed to retire he's a real INT-machine. he might have some experience but if we were looking for a guy with experience we would've kept BJ or taken some other older Qb

I've never been a fan of having a 70s porn star leading the team.

Re: What would your thoughts be on getting Jake Plummer from Tampa Bay
Why?
As a starter?
Never.
As Caine said, INT monster.
Hell TJ can come in and throw picks as well as getting some seat time under center.
Consensus on TJ is he is raw and needs experience.
I am of the group that the experience he needs is during game time situations.
Sure the learning curve is gonna be steep this year, but we will see the benifits of suffering through some ugly times as he learns the game.
As a Backup?
Again, don't see it.
Of course I am of the minority on here that believe it is Coach Rogers job to teach TJ how to be an NFL QB and not some old has been Vet who can't win a starting job anymore.
Coaches coach and Players play my friends.
If that isn't the case then heck, lets have the Zigmiester fire all the coaches and just let the Vet players run things.

Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.
